[Review] Skinfood Facial Water Vita-C & Vita-B Cream

Hello beauties!

I hope you are all ok :) I am here today with yet another review, which took me long to make, mostly because I wanted to ensure my conclusions about both products I am gonna talk about today: Facial water vita-b and vita-c moisturizers, by Skinfood (a korean brand).
I tried two out of the three moisturizers of the line, and here are the results. Remember, this is my opinion and it's subjective, but I always try to present my conclusions as objectively as I can, so that I can help you choose what's best for you.

This is Vita-B, the first cream I purchased. It is made with Alaska Gracier Water and pumkin, carrot, tomato and apple extracts. It is recommended for oily skin. That's why I bought it and used it during summer. It comes in a pretty glass container, and it contains 75gr of product. It costed me 9 euros (~12$) which I think is an ok price for the quality (both the product's and the container's) and the quantity you get. I found it on Ebay, with free shipping.

Now about the cream itself. It is a gel type cream, which means that it's suitable for oily/oily prone skins and it is very lightweight. It absorbs quickly and leaves the skin refreshed and hydrated. It smells fresh, something like a woman's after shave xD I used it every night and day after my face cleaning routine but it lasted me around 2 months. I liked this cream overall, but after a while I noticed that even though my skin was not left dry or dehydrated, I felt like I needed more cream on it. And please note that I have quite oily skin. I kept using the cream all the summer, and I noticed that when it was reaaaally hot I didn't feel as dry. I decided to move to the more "heavy" cream of the line as the weather changed though and I think it was a wise choise.
I would recommend this cream for people with extra oily skin that can't handle any other type of moisturizer. It is also a great type of moisturizer for a refreshment throught the day when needed. I kept it in the fridge and its cooling sensation was amazing. 

When I run out of vita-B I decided to buy vita-C, which is recommended for normal skin. I thought that since the other cream was very light, this one couldn't have been extremely heavy either. My skin is quite balanced lately and I don't have excessive oilness, so I gave it a try.

 This one is also made with Alaska Glacier Water, raspberries, acai berry, cranberry and strawberry. It doesn't smell like berries though, I would say it has a light floral scent, very pleasant. It also contains 75gr and it costs the same as the other.

It has the same gel type texture as vita-B and it is easily absorbed. But, this one is slightly more hydrating. I find it would be suitable for many people, because it is "rich" and light at the same time. I didn't notice any dry patches, my skin felt vry hydrated, but not oily at all (even after a long time has past since when i applied the cream). I was really happy with this cream. I might change it again and buy vita-A as the weather gets colder though. Being so lightweight, this cream might not be suitable for cold weather and I really don't wanna risk any flaky and dry skin during winter. I suppose vita-A although it is said to be for dry skin, won't be very heavy either, judging from those two I have used so far. I will let you know if and when I try it out :)

Overall, I will say this: Buy vita-B if you have excessive oilness or during summer. Use vita-C if your skin is oily-combo but needs some extra hydration as well or during spring/ beginning-end of summer when the weather is not too hot. Keep the creams in the fridge for a cooling sensation, it's really fun :D If you wonder whether I would purchase these again, yes I would, definitely. To be honest, I never used a face cream before, which wasn't heavy and oily, so these really saved me this year.

[Review] Collagen Crystal Eye Mask

First I need to apologise for not doing any review for so long, but I was busy with university and exams. Buuuuut, I am here again :D Today I am gonna talk about an absolute favourite product that I keep buying again and again, simply because it's so nice. It's the Collagen Eye Mask.

I purchase this on Ebay, for only 2.50$ (1.80euros) or something like that, for a pack of 10. Oh yes yes, a pack of ten! You can easily find these if you search a bit, there are also other variations available, like 5x or 15x packs for a different price ofc. If you want to try them for the first time, you better buy a pack of 5, so that if there is any case of allergic reaction (which I totally doubt) you wont have to waste money. But still, they are super cheap and trustworthy. I put them on my eyes, so I would never lie to you  ^___^.

So yeah, the two silicone patches come in this package, which is full of a liquid. I suppose this holds all the ingredients and keeps the patches moist with them. It smells really soothing, something like jasmine or baby pawder...I can't really tell. You take the patch case off carefully and you spil the remaining liquid on them. You peel them off the case and you put them underneath your eyes, with the narrow edge on the inner corner of your eye and the wider outside, so that it also covers that wide area next to the outter corner which tends to have fine lines very often. You can leave it on as long as you feel you need it ( or until you feel it has dried out) and then you take it off. You pat the remaining moisture with your ring finger, very gently and voila! Insta moisturized eye area!

I was surprised by how good this product is. I usually buy stuff but I never expect them to work, their claims look all suspicious hahaha. This one did what it promises though. My under eye area was brightened and whitened. Don't think of anything bleached xD It just made the whole area glow as if being really healthy. My fine lines were radically reduced and I felt my skin smooth and moist. Such a nice feeling!

I use this product once a week and it has worked really well for me so far (and for many other people as well from what I have read). My fine lines have gotten smaller and less and my eye area is way better than before. I suggest you should give it a try since it's inexpensive and really effective! In cooperation with your eye cream (if you don't use any, go see my review on Etude's House Vanilla Moist Eye's Cream) it will work almost wonders in terms of hydration and care.

[Review] Avon Narurals: Conditioning Balm

I was planning to do a review about the product I am about to today, but I was expecting the Avon package, because I had run out of my super lovely hair balm and I had to wait for my re-purchase to arrive. Actually, this is the 4th time I repurchase it in 6 months or so, so you understand that what I am about to talk is the Holy Grail in my hair treatment routine. I know I wouldn't change it for anything else, and trust me, I have tried a lot of hair products so far.

This is the Conditioning Balm, from Avon. It is so far the best balm I have ever used and I will show you two ways to use it, depending on your hair type and your needs, so stay with me till the end :D

It has a light corally-pink colour as you can see, and its consistency is a bit...hhhmmm...well, it's like a very thick cream with a bit of jelly in it. So, it kinda bounces like gel, but it is super thick at the same time. It smells absoluterly gorgeous, and it's super cheap: I do not remember paying more than 2,50 euros (~4$) for it, and it contains 250ml. Depending on its usage, it will probably last you a long time. I have never really counted, but I know it's not something you will need to buy every so often, mostly cause a litle goes a long way.

More specifically, this balm contains almond oil and avocado (imagine the moisture effect *__*) and it is of course recommended for dry/damaged hair. Unlike what I -and also many of you- might think, this is not a hair mask. Yeah, I thought it was, but it actually says (in the french label right underneath the english one) that it's an after shampooing balm, which you don't need to rinse. The first time I used it, I applied it as it was recommended. It wasn't what I needed though, so I will give you instructions on how to use it properly, according to your hair type, the length of it, and the damage output your hair has been exposed to:

I. Dry Hair -/- Damaged from styling

Since this product is recommended for this type of hair, it would be good to follow the instructions and act accordingly: after shampooing your hair, you put some product on your palms to warm it slightly and you apply from the middle of your hair downwards. You don't want to put this on your roots, as it is gonna make them greasy. You esure that the product is evenly distributed throught the hair and you wrap your hair in a towel for at least 15' so that the product will be absorbed with the warmth of your entire head which will be wraped in the towel. Then you blow dry as usual. And tadaaaa! Miracle! Your hair will thank you afterwards and it will stay soft for longer.
Depending on how long, or how damaged your hair is, you adjust the amount of product you will need. I ensure you though that once you feel the texture you will realise you don't need much, as it will probably leave your hair a bit heavy, if much is applied. It is that strong. Use it as often as you think you need. I would recommend 2 (max.3 times a week).


II. Normal (Moistful) Hair / Slightly (or not at all) damaged from styling

Now you will ask me: "Why would I want to use tha if my hair are not dry or damaged?". The answer is "because all hair need some treatment". If you aren't taking any care of your hair don't expect it to give you any hint of beauty. You give something and you take something back :D
Since this is the way I use the product, I can be double sure that what I tell you is what it is. I use this product once every week, because I condition my hair everytime I shower, plus I never use any styling so my hair aren't damaged at all. After shampooing, apply the amount you think you need from the middle of your hair downwards, and let it sit for 20' like a normal mask. Then rinse slightly to get the extra residue off. Blow dry as usual.
The reason why I recommend you to slightly rinse it off, it's because of the potency of the product. As I said above, it is really strong, so if your hair isn't dry or damaged, if you happen to use it in the way mentioned above all you will get will be heavy hair till the next shower. The first time I got it, I used it like it is recommended and I felt my hair greasy and heavy. So, I figured out that if applied as a mask, it will penetrate deep, but any extra residue will be rinsed off. I still use it like that till today, and my hair is soft like cotton,  and the frizz isn't that noticeable anymore. Use it as a mask once (max.2 times) a week and see the difference!

Like I said earlier, the amount you need to use depends mostly on the length of your hair, and the width of it. If you have fine hair, don't put much of it. If you have heavy, long, coarse hair, then you will need some extra product, mostly to ensure that everything is covered by it. All in all, you know by now that I am honest about my opinion, and I think that this product should be in everyone's shower. I think you should give it a try!

[Review] Etude House Eye's Cream (Vanilla Moist)

Long time no see! Truth is I was on vacations, and I had no internet access really, so that's why I didn't update my blog earlier than today. I hope y'all had a great summer and that you are super ready for the upcoming autumn ^__^.
 Today I am gonna talk about a product that I bought quite a long time ago, but I am only talking about it today, because it's one of these products that need to be tested for quite some time before one makes a conclusion about it. It is actually used up kinda, so I need to buy a new one soon, and it's Etude House's Vanilla Moist Eye's Cream.

I never considered using an eye cream till lately, mainly cause all the creams I found in drugstores etc where either too expensive, or very specific on their treatment. I am only 21, so I didn't really need any anti-aging properties, I just needed a light everyday moistirizer for that delicate area. And I found it :D

I bought it on Ebay, for 8.50$ (~ 6,30 euros) which is a very good price for just an eye moisturizer. It is white, and it's kinda like a lip balm (in a stick form I mean) which you rub on your eye area and then you dab the product with your ring fingers for it to be absorbed. Although it says that it is a vanilla scent, I'd rather say it smells really citrusy, like lemon. It is so light, but so moisturizing and you can use it all day around when and if you feel you need it. ---Here I gotta say there is also the Mint Cooling eye cream from the same line, but this one contains SPF. I am not sure if it's proper to use any SPF factors around the eyes. I prefer my sunglasses.---

 So it comes with a cap for germs protection which I find really usefull since it's a stick cream. I don't think I have anything else to say about this cream. If you need a daily moisturizer for that area that cream should do. It does claim it refines the fine lines under the eyes, but hey, I find this quite imposible to be done anyways. I mean I constantly have lines cause I smile a lot, so I can't blame the cream if they are not vanished. Also, things like that take a loooong time to be corrected, but I don't mind because I am not really in an age to worry about lines and wrinkles :) Point is that this cream provides a good amount of moisture for the eye area and I think you will be happy to have it as much as I do.

[In Depth Review] Koji Eyelash Curler no.73 (Eyelash Curlers)

I hope you are all doing fine and you are having a great time this summer. I am going away for some bussiness for the next 2 weeks, so I figured I should do an interesting review for you before I go. Today I am gonna review Koji Eyelash Curler and I am gonna talk to you about eyelash curlers in general: from the way they are used to the necessity of having one yourself.

After my last eyelash curler broke 3 years ago, I convinced myself that I didn't need a new one. I guess that was mostly cause I believe eyelash curlers are quite pricey. Of course you are gonna buy something good and long lasting with the money they ask, but I still believe you don't have to pay too much to get the desired effect. So, I survived 3 years without an eyelash curler, until my friend, Internet, showed me some cool stuff  >:]  Browsing through pages, I decided to search on ebay for any cheap (but good) eyelash curlers. I came across Koji, and I immediately searched for some reviews. And although the opinions differ a lot in any case, I saw that most of the girls who have bought it though it was better than those of Shu Uemura or Shiseido etc. The price of Koji eyelash curler was half the price (if not more) of those curlers mentioned above and since there was nothing bad about it, I thought I should give it a try.

I bought mine from Ebay for 7$ (~5.50euros). The difficult part was to decide which number to get. Yes, it comes out in numbers. There is no. 70, 71 and 73 (if I am not mistaken) in the usual curler format we all know. There are certain variations of it, for bottom lashes, one that has a different shape, one that you can "brake" and pack in a different way, but overall these three numbers up there are the usual eyelash curlers you know, but each has a different size. That means 70 is for smaller eyes, and 73 for bigger. To be accurate, no.73 is 34mm wide. It is made out of good material, it feels nice on my hand, not cheap at all and as far as I know, Koji is a well known brand even out of Japan nowadays, so I don't think you should worry. The pad it has is black and it is fluffy enough so I never felt insecure that it will cut my lashes suddenly if I put more pressure on the curler. It also comes with a second pad refill, in case you lose or destroy the first one :). It makes my lashes incredibly curly even with the minimum pressure and overall I am really happy with this particular purchase.

Now, onto some questions I always had before I buy this curler and no review ever answered for me:

-- Is Koji suitable for caucasian eyes?
Koji is a japanese brand, that automatically means that the curlers are made for asian eyes mostly. BUT, don't get discouraged. My eyes are far from asian, in fact they are very round and quite big, with spacious eyelid and long (but straight) eyelashes. I can ensure you that no.73 is really more than ok if you happen to have somewhat the same eyeshape with me. If you have smaller eyes, you should consider bying one of the smaller numbers. Now, something important. It may or may not pinch accidentally your eyelid sometimes. But I don't think this is the curlers fault, sometimes our eyelids are a bit swollen, or our hands clumsy and blabla. It happened to me before, with other curlers as well so I would say go for it!

-- Do I really need an eyelash curler?
Weeeeeell, that depends. Some people are lucky and they already have curly lashes like my sister. In that case you don't need a curler (and I offcicially hate you :P ). There are also some people whose lashes are not curly, but with two coats of mascara they are able to give curls to their lashes because their lashes are obedient. In that case, you decide if you really need one. There are, also, these people like me who have nice long lashes, but they are straight as sticks. In that case you DEFINITELY need an eyelash curler. Even if you use fake lashes, you are definitelly gonna need a curler to set a slight curl before applying the falshies. Otherwise it is gonna look strange and the lashes won't merge properly with the falshies. Remember, the curlers don't give any volume, they set the curl so the lashes can stand out from the rest of the lashline. If you have sparse eyelashes you will need falshies or more coats of mascara and some tightlining.

[Review]: Etude House Sleeping Pack (Pore tightening and sebum control)

I am here today with another -helpful I wanna believe- review. The product I am gonna talk about today is a sleeping pack from Etude House (a Korean brand) that claims to control sebum and tighten the pores.

I chose this one in the green package, because I have oily skin and therefore quite enlarged pores. I read some good reviews about it, so I thought I should give it a try. There are also another 2 kind of sleeping packs: Moisture and Elasticity (in the pink bottle) and Exfoliating and Brightening (white bottle). The bottle contains 120ml which is quite good, because it really lasts a long time. I have used my pack for 3 months now and still got half of the bottle unused :D It has a gel-type consistency, and smells nice. The smell is not overwhelming (the smell of the alcohol is kinda distinct but it fades away after some seconds). Although it does contain alcohol, I don't think it has too much in it, because honestly I never experienced any kind of redness or dryness due to it. Oily skin is also much more stronger against alcohol than other types of skin, so you don't have to worry about it. It costed me something around 10$ (~8 euros) which was kinda pricey for me, especially considering its effects on my skin:

I have used this pack, as I said before, for 3 months already. I apply it every night after I cleanse and moisturize my face and leave it on till it dries and then I sleep with it. I rinse it off in the morning. Thing is, I never expected miracles, like I do with every product I guess, but even so, I didn't see any results at all. I mean, it didn't cause me any breakouts or anything, but I didn't see any difference on my face either. I woke up with the same complexion I fell asleep the last night. No further oilness, no dryness, no smaller pores...same exact skin as always. It just feels like I applied nothing at all. Which is weird xD I know that large pores cannot be tightened in a night or something, but I don't know, I don't think I will buy it again. Actually I am pretty sure I won't because spending 10$ for nothing, is like you are throwing money on the street :P It didn't do any damage but it didn't do any good at all. I just keep using it because it's harmless until the bottle gets empty. But I wouldn't advise you to buy it. I have no idea what the other 2 packs do (if they do anything), but in my opinion you don't need something like a sleeping pack. 

They say that packs are for those that are super busy throught the day and they need something to treat their skin with while they sleep. Well, I will have to disagree. I think that even if you are busy, you can always steal some minutes from whatever you might be doing to wash your face and apply a good clay mask (especially if you have oily skin). That really works and you will feel clean and fresh. There is no need for sleeping packs I guess. If you wanna do something for your skin, you will definitelly find some time to do it throughout the day :)

[Review] Avon Skin so Soft Moisturizing Gel

I am here today with yet another review, and I feel like it's been a century since the last time I reviewed something...maybe it's really been :P So, today, I am gonna talk about my holy grail skin product, which - thankfully - released only some months ago, but I already feel like I can't live without it!

It is the Moisturizing Gel, from Avon's line Skin so Soft. Although I never been a fan of that line, because the products it had were mainly adressing people with dry/super dry skin, as soon as I saw the word GEL on that product I knew I had to buy it. I wouldn't say that my skin is oily, I would describe it as moistful. I never experience exessive oilness on my skin, but in the summer, because I sweat too much, it is almost unbearable for me to put any kind of body lotion on me. Even for the winter I try to find stuff with light consistency that absorb quickly, cause my body temperature tends to rise pretty easily.

Anyways, to my point now, when the product arrived I put it outta the box and I immediately put some of it on my hand to test it. OH- MY-GOD...That was an almost extraterrestrial experience. I don't usually praise products that much, maybe cause most of them are quite "meh" to me. But this one, I tell ya, is the best thing I ever purchased in my life. It felt that water flowing on my skin, it was cooling, it absorbed in an instant and it left my skin -like the line says- so soft! I was speechless for a couple of minutes and then I had an enlightement: Fridge! Yeeees, yes I put that in the fridge. I showered later the same day (just to try the gel again :3 ) and the way it slided on my skin was devine, the cooling effect of it doubled just by puting it in the fridge. At last, what I was looking for, for so long was in my hands!

It has a subtle light blue colour ( it doesn't stay on the skin of course) and it literally looks like ocean in a bottle! It has a nice perfume, which leaves the skin smelling so nice and feminine, but it is not overwhelming at all. It has a gel type consistency and it absorbs super fast, you don't even have to wait to put your clothes on. Its price was really reasonable, I bought it for 4.50 euros (~6$) for 250ml. It is great for all skin types, especially in the summer when the weather is really hot and you don't want anything too heavy, greasy, or sticky on your skin.

 I would recommend those with oily/moistful skin to use it even in the winter because its hydration is at good levels even when it's colder outside. Those with dry skin might wanna use something heavier in the winter though. In any case, put it in the fidge and you will remember me! I have already sold this product multiple times the last 3 months, and so far all my clients were so super happy that they message me to say how awesome this gel is. It won't let you down, just give it a try :)
